There is a widespread perception in Western society that black women are naturally bigger and chubbier than white women in general. In addition, there's stereotype that black women, like other non-western minority women, are sexually more promiscuous, lascivious and loose than their white counterparts. In short, following this line of reasoning, black chubby bbw's are naturally more sexually experienced, unrestrained and knowledgeable than white women.
There are both positive and negative responses to this stereotypical observation. The negative one is that some black chubby bbw's may feel insulted, and counter that this is a racist and misogynistic untruth. On the other hand, some black bbw women may feel that, true or not, this stereotypical belief says something affirming about their identity, that there is something she can be proud of, something that makes a bold statement about her sexuality and its power.
Politically and comparatively speaking, among the bbw categories of women, the black bbw category is probably the most controversially loaded one. In a historically anti-black and anti-woman world, the bodies of black women have been the objects of the most abuse, compared to that of men and white women. However, today, for many black women, and bbw black women in particular, the body that was once a signifier of pain and a source of self-hatred has become a source of power and pleasure and pride. This is evident, among other things, in the increasing spread of Internet sites, forums and admirers that celebrate big beautiful black women.
